FREE Aging Matters Education & Expo: Conversations for Caregivers

Conversations for Caregivers is a FREE day-of-learning event connecting seniors and those that love and care for them to resources, services, programs, and products to meet the joys & challenges of aging. The event will take place Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 8 am to 3 pm, at Wayne County Community College - Northwest Campus - located at 8200 West Outer Drive, Detroit, MI, 48219. Come out for:

  • Free breakfast snacks

  • Lunch

  • Elder Law presentation

  • And, caregiver self-care workshops

Guess speaker BernNadette Stanis, Thelma from Good Times and author of The Last Night: A Caregiver's Journey through Transition and Beyond the Last Night will share her life changing experience of ushering her mother through the disheartening maze of Alzheimer's disease.



The event is hosted by the Detroit Caregivers Support Collaborative: Neighborhood Legal Services - Elder Law & Advocacy Center, Southeast Michigan Senior Regional Collaborative, Urban Aging News, and bridging Communities, Inc.
